Wesbeam

In 1928 Thomas Cullity, the son of Irish immigrants, started Cullity Timbers in Perth Western Australia. It was the beginning of an association between the Cullity name and the timber industry that endures to this day.

The Cullity family – and a team of investors and industry experts – formed Wesbeam in 2001. Three years and $115 million dollars later, the first billet of Wesbeam laminated veneer lumber rolled off the production line. We’d built a better wood.

Today, Wesbeam is an Australian-owned company whose Board and Senior Management have over 70 years’ experience in the manufacture and sale of timber and wood panel products.

Wesbeam is Australia’s only LVL and LVL I-Joist manufacturer and distributor – with a world class factory in Perth and direct delivery from Wesbeam distribution centres.

Using state of the art equipment from New Zealand, Japan, Finland and Germany, we manufacture high-quality laminated veneer lumber beams and other LVL products.

Our LVL is a high-value engineered wood product made from renewable, sustainably sourced timbers under a 50-year agreement between Wesbeam and the Western Australian State Government.

Our growing range of blue LVL products is designed to span further, carry greater loads and withstand the tough Australian climate.
