Fibre Cement

Fibre Cement cladding is tested and compliant under AS 3959 for bushfire-prone areas up to BAL-40. Excluding Flame Zone (BAL-FZ), this makes it suitable for the vast majority of designated bushfire zones across Australia, making fibre cement the go-to external cladding specification for residential projects.

Fibre cement contains no organic material that termites can consume, making it resistant to termite attack without the need for ongoing chemical treatments. Its moisture resistance also makes it suitable for tropical, coastal, and high-humidity environments where untreated timber cladding would be at risk of deterioration - an important consideration for builders working across diverse Australian climate zones.

Once installed and painted, fibre cement cladding requires minimal ongoing maintenance. Periodic cleaning and repainting every 10–15 years is typically sufficient to maintain both the appearance and performance of the product. With no requirement for oiling, staining, or structural treatment, this makes it a practical choice for both volume residential work and projects where clients prioritise low lifetime maintenance costs.
