Big River Grafton is the heart of Big River Group’s manufacturing operations. Located on the NSW North Coast, our Grafton facility produces ArmourForm formwork plywood, structural plywood, and a range of engineered timber products that are distributed to locations and construction sites across Australia.
Beyond manufacturing, Grafton operates a full trade counter serving the Clarence Valley region. Local builders and contractors can access the complete Big River product range – from formwork and structural timber to cladding, flooring, and hardware – backed by the expertise of a team that knows both the products and the local building market.
The Grafton site has been at the core of Big River’s operations for over 80 years, evolving from a traditional sawmill into one of Australia’s most advanced plywood manufacturing facilities. Our investment in state-of-the-art veneer peeling, drying, and pressing technology ensures every sheet of ArmourForm meets the exacting standards that Australian builders depend on.

Our manufacturing processes are independently audited under ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 standards. All staff are trained in WHS compliance including forklift operations, manual handling, and hazardous materials.
Frequently Asked Questions
Do you deliver to Coffs Harbour and the Northern Rivers?
Yes. Coffs Harbour, Woolgoolga, Yamba, Ballina, and Lismore are in our Zone B – next-business-day delivery on standard orders. Byron Bay, Tweed Heads, and Port Macquarie are in Zone C with scheduled weekly runs. Contact us for specific delivery days to your area.
Can I buy ArmourForm plywood direct from the factory?
Absolutely. Our trade counter sells the full range of ArmourForm formwork plywood – manufactured right here on site. You can pick up from the counter or arrange delivery. For bulk or custom specifications, speak with our team about a manufacturing order.
Is B-Double access available?
Yes. B-Double access is available via the northern entrance off the Pacific Highway. This entrance is designed for heavy vehicles and connects directly to the loading and dispatch area. Semi-trailers should use the main gate.
Do you offer trade accounts?
Yes. Big River trade accounts include competitive pricing, 30-day terms, a dedicated account manager, and priority delivery scheduling. Apply online at our Get Started page or ask at the trade counter – we can usually have you set up within 24 hours.
What products do you stock beyond plywood?
While we’re best known for manufacturing ArmourForm plywood, the Grafton trade counter stocks the full Big River range: structural timber, LVL beams, fibre cement cladding, flooring, frame and truss materials, hardware, and more. If it’s not on the shelf, we can usually get it from our network within a day or two.
