THE PROJECT

The Challenge

A premier retail destination in Western Sydney, the 4 stage redevelopment achieves 4 Star Green Star Design Retail v1 rating. Extensive use of glass, wide angular roof overhangs and louvered edges create clean crisp lines. Armourdeck 600 steel decking formwork manufactured in Australian by Big River was used extensively in the Stockland project.

Big River's Solution

Big River supplied ArmourForm F17 formwork plywood for all vertical formwork and ArmourDeck permanent steel formwork for the suspended concrete slabs. The combination eliminated the need for temporary propping on completed levels, allowing fit-out trades to work below while concrete was being poured above.

The Result

The expansion was completed on schedule with the formwork system delivering significant time savings compared to traditional methods. The ArmourForm plywood achieved an average of 18 reuses across the project, contributing to cost efficiency and reduced waste.
