StraightFrame LVL10

Traditional sawn pine framing is subject to natural variation in straightness, density and moisture content – leading to bowing, warping and inconsistent performance across a frame.

StraightFrame LVL 10 is manufactured from rotary-peeled veneers bonded under heat and pressure, eliminating natural defects and producing a uniform, stable framing member with consistent structural properties from end to end.

On site, this means less sorting, less waste and faster installation – particularly in critical areas such as tall walls, load-transfer studs, voids and passageways where precision matters most.

StraightFrame LVL 10 is the right choice when framing accuracy and structural consistency are a priority. It is particularly well suited to tall walls and high-void framing where traditional pine is prone to bowing, load-bearing stud applications requiring consistent strength properties, passageways and openings where dimensional accuracy is critical, and multi-residential or commercial projects where uniform framing across a large number of frames is essential to programme and quality outcomes.

StraightFrame LVL 10 includes a protective clear coating intended to resist moisture and support durability throughout the construction process. H2S treatment provides termite resistance for above-ground internal applications. The uniform engineered structure also improves long-term resistance to warping, splitting and shrinkage compared to sawn timber – maintaining framing integrity well after installation.

StraightFrame LVL 10 is manufactured to AS/NZS 4357.2 (structural LVL) and is BSI certified. It is designed for use in accordance with Australian Standards AS 1684.2.2010 (residential timber framed construction) as a direct replacement for MGP10 and as a design alternative to MGP12. H2S treatment meets the requirements of AS 1604 for above-ground internal applications in termite-risk areas.
